Affectionately known as The Dolly Momma, Dolly was found by a friend of a friend in their back yard. She had decided that tucked under their patio furniture cover was a great place to have her litter of kittens. The kittens were less than two weeks old when we found them but we were able to safely trap them all and bring them home where they could be safe and warm. Since then, Dolly has shown herself to be a very caring mom and has raised her little ones into five adorable and energetic kittens.
Dolly is very sweet and could definitely go to a home once the kittens are weaned, but she does not get along with dogs at all. She hates them so much she has twice lept out of the crate to attack our dogs, even our giant 160lb shepherd. Thankfully the dogs have always been kind to her so no one go hurt, but it means that we can’t foster her at all once the kittens find homes. If we don’t have a family for her, she will need to spayed and tagged as a feral cat and be rereleased near where we found her.
She has been to the vet for lab work and is clear of any diseases or concerns. The vet thinks she’s under two years old and that this is her first or maybe second litter. She loves pets and purrs affectionately while you scratch her neck and really values having a full belly.
